Listening to every heart

The Quiet Time

I have resting in my spirit
a sense of beauteous calm
a quiet of no explain
sagacity comes here again

~*~

through this amusing peace
see smiles of soft delight
which warms my every morn
highlights my precious night

~*~

to share with me this view
to know just the perfect one
who questions never, ever, not
the continual rise of greeting sun

~*~

here, within my quiet breast
the tranquil of peace to reign
know that this is now and when
I draw closer to you again

~*~

in this trust of quietude
trust with me this interlude
turn to me as night begins
as answer to all your whims

It's why I stay up all night...I told Maree once that it's like a giant foot being removed from my chest...all of the infernal busy-ness stops and my head can rest again...
And I really do have to smile, as I related on another level. Just as I read this? The school bus came and picked up the kids after a LONG Christmas holiday...Hugs to you, and smiles for me...serenity sighs and sips her coffee...thank you, Karilea!

Kari love, with me it never ever happens, when am I quiet, I probably talk while I'm dreaming. I know I never stop during the day. But one day I will just stop and let the silence fill up the spaces in me.
This is as always a fabulous sagacious and wonderful piece from you love. And I love it as always
take care

Wow! Serene is the word I think describes  it best for me. Just wonderful.

Beautiful words. I love to rise and see the sun shining, but the night time is when I can relax and just love.

I pray you're not offended - but I found your poem so inspiring - I took the subject to heart and wrote some verses of my own. If I offend I will have my work removed.

Finally I can hear all that is not there.  That is a sound that I can get used to.  Wonderful write my friend and I already read Bill's poem inspired by this and it is remarkable the way you inspired that man.  Take a bow my friend.

Quiet One, remarkable that you would pick this to read...welcome to Passions...I hope you enjoy your time here, and I shall be looking for a first post...[and if I have missed it, please direct me to it!]

Marsha, I grew up "quiet"...people talk so much better that way...it was just when I wanted to know more, then I started asking questions....to each their own love...verily...and you know I love the word "sagacious!"....hugs to you...

'Deer, I am so very glad you saw the peace within...thank you for reading...

EagleOne, "serene" works well here...thank you!...

inot2B...yes, indeed...thank you...

Mr. Yeats, I doubt you shall ever offend me...write on!  and I shall visit it right off...thank you!...all I might EVER want to do is inspire others!...

Mark...if I might share in the listen of beauty, then describe the real of it...it is all I wish...and for all others and everyone? I wish pure happiness...

Such a serene piece of poetry that whispers and yet shouts with every word. Well done and many moments like this for you my dear friend

Kari love, I loked it up especially for you. With all my sisters dear heart I grew up talking, which is or course how I got into public speaking. Don't ask dear heart, really boring stuff to do with unions. But it did help that I have never been shy, and I can speak about what I know. But one day you and I will sit in the conservatory drinking tea and NOT talking
Take care kid, it is a fabulous piece
love

Karilea, very tranquil and serene, your words have lifted my spirit.
