Majestic Majesty

The land stretches
into the distance
in unbroken barrenness
with only tiny tuffs of greenery
breaking through
still hard spring ground

Endless flatness
to be suddenly broken
by gigantic coolies
that weave their way
through the land

Miles and miles of fences
create the boundaries
of this vast prairie landscape
dividing golden wheat fields
from the great cattle herds
that roam here

Of a sudden a rocky ledge
in the middle
of rolling greenery,
the shape is out of dream,
is there a dragon here

Perfectly formed
from tail to back
and shoulders
one gazes around
sure they will find
the scorched remains
of recent battle

Mountains towering before me
speak of strength
and power
not of this earth

Unending splendor
of rocky ledges sparkling
with snow
spread before me
in majestic majesty

Drawing the eye ever upward
one feels a small portion
of the power
and love that went into
the forming of such beauty

The soul is drawn by a force,
emanating from the very rock,
to sit in quiet contemplation
of the rugged beauty around me

The spirit force
is strong here
and sings in the blood
as I wander higher
into Gods creation

The sun sparkles
with brilliance
on the snow
of these peaks
broken by shadow
cast by clouds
as they drift across the sky
leaving me in awe
at the beauty before my eyes

Time to listen
and feel the spirit
held here from the beginning
of time waiting for those
whose soul calls
to them from these mountains

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams.

There is nothing like feeling the power of God on His beautiful earth. There is no place like the mountains for this, I know. You paint beautiful images with your words. Thank you for sharing the picture with us.
