2001 - Year of Lonely Heart Friendships honored, toast of cheer Ends another passing year For the sake of Auld Lang Syne Fill this crystal glass of mine Sip the new of old champaign Sparkling bubbles kill the pain Sing along that dreary hymn Churning memories within Here’s to friendship, here’s to time Here’s to love that was sublime Though the hour is much too late Still we have to celebrate New Years Eve is masked in cheer To welcome in the coming year Two thousand one about to start It is the Year of Lonely Heart Ellizabeth Santos |

The hugs won't help, but we shall give them, just the same... peace be with you, as it can, Lady Santos... |

Thank you all for your responses. I never did like celebrating New Years Eve. But I intend to have a great year. A new grandson arriving in March and perhaps a trip or two. And another year at passions. Thanks Liz |

Liz~ Know that my prayers are with you, this was well expressed and I relate all too well to the words, but even then each case of pain and loss is it's own type of hell and so I may not know your pain, but I do understand and care. I wish you the best, know that you have friends here Melissa The beauty of poetry gives my soul wings to fly free within dreams |
