Forever Words I had never known nor ever heard “Good-bye” is a forever kind of word Nor could my heart conceive of such a thought The sorrow that “forever-words” have wrought I thought you meant good-bye, until again I’ll see you later in tomorrow’s when I didn’t know eternal was implied Within forever letters of “good-bye” To singe so delicate a heart as mine With parting words to last the rest of time Etching in my ear to consecrate “Forever” with the branding iron of fate Distraught was I to see you so depart And leave forever words within my heart I promise that until the day I die I never more will say the word “good-bye” Elizabeth Santos |

My thoughts are in the same place today Liz ... shall we just say "until next we meet again" ... and we shall. Beautiful Liz ... Best wishes and hugs, /Kit |

Elizabeth, my friend~ Oh ... the truth of this one wrings the tears from my heart. Even once is too often to hear a goodbye. *Hugging* you for this one, sweet lady. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

As Seymour said, and Karilea echos so do I echo - Think of it as they say in German: "Auf Wiedersehn" - {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}} |

Well my friend, just when I thought I could not be more impressed with your work than I was on the last one I read, you do and toss all that out the window. Not only is this one penned with that special Liz magic of yours but it is blessed with the wisdom of a heart that truely beats in the purest love of all. Excellent doensn't even begin to do this one justice but it is all I have to offer without writing a novel to you. A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses. author unknown |

To singe so delicate a heart as mine With parting words to last the rest of time Etching in my ear to consecrate “Forever” with the branding iron of fate Distraught was I to see you so depart And leave forever words within my heart I promise that until the day I die I never more will say the word “good-bye” ================= Liz, this touches deep and is so beautiful in its longing and wisdom... and Sys reply is so perfect ... I wish to echo him love to you dear poetess your pen is golden and your words a gift to us all jm Some people find subtlety in strangers if you find anything~let me in Your eyes~you see everything my eyes~I see it all together now~and I know |

These are words written from a loving, caring, sensitive compassionate woman. I will long treasure this one. Thank you for having the strength to share with us now, and as you have. You help us, maybe you don't know ,and I pray we help you also. "Every man dies. Not every man truly lives." Braveheart |

Liz - How very true - I would rather you told me the night before, "See you in the morning." And, in the morning, "How did you sleep? Do you want breakfast in bed now? May I do some laundry? Is it OK if I vacuum the floor while you watch football? May I rub your back, too?" These things are much better than "Good bye" - lol. Incidently, I like your poem. |
