Encased in Living’s Smile The sun drown in the Pacific and the sky had caught on fire the island rose like a gray whale against the melting funeral pyre Warm by the light lit Christmas tree a family circled round the hearth and thanked a giving beauty blessed family dinner to take part Their child was filled with imp for sure and rode stick horse from room to room the tender hearts that gave her birth tried not to think that dad’s life’s doomed For deep inside him is the wrath of cancers spread to every room and where our love lives it fills up and spills out fear of pain and gloom Yet we hug our love to tell him we treasure each and every mile that takes him to another day with love encased in living’s smile. "Yet we hug our love to tell him we treasure each and every mile that takes him to another day with love encased in living’s smile." Who else could wrench our hearts with phrasing like "hug our love ... encased in living's smile"? you are such a special poetess Martie {{{{hugs}}}} |

The love in your heart from all the times shared in this life will forever be passed on through your beautiful words. Beautifully penned my friend. Hugs to you and much love from this friend to you. A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses. author unknown |

The sun drown in the Pacific and the sky had caught on fire the island rose like a gray whale against the melting funeral pyre =============== Yet we hug our love to tell him we treasure each and every mile that takes him to another day with love encased in living’s smile. ============ me girlie rhymed and its divine (smile) so tender and touching Martie...wisdom of love when these tests are put before us..it makes us cherish and tresure the simple moments of the holidays that we often miss.. gives us perspective for day to day as well love to ya sweet poet jm Some people find subtlety in strangers if you find anything~let me in Your eyes~you see everything my eyes~I see it all together now~and I know |

Martie this is indeed a wonder and so beautifully penned. You have filled this with love and heart, with the warmth of friendship and hope. I love it as I always do, a really wonderfully written piece. Take care Mushy Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

still going strong my friend i see. christmas is traditionally a time of rebirth, renewal. this ironically often has the effect of bringing opposing and darker things into the forefront of our minds - which is i guess why it can be a time of turmoil for some as well. as usual Martie you write more than just beautiful poetry P |
