It's Boxing Day
I'm bored to tears
I need something to do
to take away my drears

I'll think I'll have a little sit
and think about what to do
I know a carpet picnic
will make me feel brand new

First I'll grab some finger food
there's a plate or two leftover
next I need some lobster or
some sole that's come from Dover

Maybe a little wine
to I, my stomach settle
I only need a glass or six
to keep me in fine fettle

Perhaps some sweet or nuts
to finish off this treat
my carpet picnic's ready
for me to sit and eat

Just one more thing its needing
that's something I can't do
what my picnic really needs
here,is the presence of you

Kethry love, this 'puter of mine is having a sulk again. Because I've just replied to this. I said I wanted to come on this picnic. And naturally I was charming and the wit, it was razor sharp. But since it's disappeared to the outer cyber space it's now gone forever. (So I could say anything about it and who would know     )
This is truly wonderful love, as always I adore it.
You are so brilliant at this

This was wonderful Kethry!  What a lovely idea to take melt the "after-Christmas" chaos, very nicely written.  I'm heading out for Christmas #2 shortly ... no Boxing Day wind-down for me unfortunately, but I like your idea MUCH better!

Happy Holidays and Best wishes,
/Kit

Cute!  Funny, too.

My daughter's here this year instead of me traveling after Christmas to her.  We're probably going shopping.  We have not a thing to return, it was all so perfect!  Wish us well, though.  I'm sure the crowds will be great, and we'll be late to get those perfect sales.

I think I'll think of your carpet picnic, maybe too much.

ethome, my carpet is virtuously empty as is my heart.

Marsha, you would never lie to me would you *worried look*

Kit, thanks for stopping by and reading glad you enjoyed.

VAS have fun at the sales I'll be thinking of you while I'm having my carpet picnic.

Be well
Kethry

Kethry love, no love I wouldn't. I only ever stretch the truth to my sisters. So if your name isn't Penelope, Patricia, Francessca, Marcella, or Melissa you are as safe as houses.
This is wonderful, so can I pull up a cushion love and join in

This sounds lovely; a magic carpet would be much appreciated to get from here; as we're surrounded by mounds of snow!!!

What a lovely write, as always!!!!

Kathleen, come sit and enjoy the feast.

Sven you bring the candles, you always gives light anyway so this should not be different.

Pepper,
Snowed in, what I could do with that image

Just a little frivolity before my New Year's resolution for only serious, cerebral and esoteric stuff, kicks in.
