'Twas, Indeed ~*Marge Tindal*~  'Twas the night a'fore Christmas, when all through the pages of Passions In Poetry there gathered the sages.  The stockings were hung all over the place, Stuffed with metaphorical rhymes and good grace.  Then what in the heck was that sound on the lawn ? Why, I do believe it must be Santa Ron !  A Jolly Elf - in spite of himself, he entered the place with great noise. Said, "This is my home and you're welcome to stay. Make poetic music you sweet girls and boys ! "  And I heard him exclaim as he flew in the night, "A family of friends keeps the hearth burning bright." Interestingly enough... when my family first met Ron - in the middle of the summer, no less - My daughter looked at him and said "He's got a twinkle in his eye that reminds me of Santa Claus"... I never told ya that one, did I Ron...??? just in case you're reading... She thought you were great!!! She was right... .. and this poem is wonderful, Marge.. |
