My friends, "December's Flame" is my gift to all of you. . . may the spirit of the season be with you, in you and all of your loved ones, not only now, but the whole year through. . . Thank you. . . Sven Burning within each of us, The flame flickers through the year. But reaches its height this last month To spread the warmth and cheer. The flame is high for all to see And offers warmth and love Greatly needed this time of year A gift from angels up above But when the New Year comes in, That flame dies down The warmth and cheer become embers And smiles become frowns Should we hold the flame this way In the lanterns of our hearts? Do we not know that once out It's hard for it again to start? So my wish for you and yours Is a simple one, it's true Keep December's Flame within your hearts To shine the whole year through From Open 4--Revised for 2000 -------------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |
