A Christmas Note

in pavonine shawl
to keep her warm in morn's light
scrawls her thoughts to write

iridescent gleam
of fringe she fingers to smooth
ink flows from her well

tactile impressions
lend silk to her ruffled thoughts
and she pens her words

"For you, love, for you,
my Christmas gift to you now
is the all of me"

fountain pen laid down
pavonine shawl slips to ground
Christmas morn comes soft

My gosh, sunshine, I can picture her sitting there with the fire's glow on her face, penning this in the still of early morning, shawl around her shoulders. You made this so simple...and so real. It is beautiful...

Beautiful, sensual, tender!

She gave her all, what better gift could she give. You wrote this oh so charming. May I say what a beautiful shawl.
