When I Opened This Your Door You have the power to write beauty it just flows from your pen And within your eyes lives magic, which I visit every now and then You take me on journeys far across and around this beauteous land And if and when I stumble you are always there to lend a hand You are there when I feel a little sad and the tears fall from my eyes And when I need some extra loving you send me to the Isle of Sighs If I call out for you in the dark when fear is walking pass my door You come to send the monsters away telling them to come no more You play my heart like a master stroking my strings with such skill No other can do it like you do sending my heart that certain thrill You touch that part of me that I keep locked deep within my breast My soul and essence, that place where my spirit takes her rest You don't need to make any effort to reach within and touch me I don't question how you did it, but perhaps you knew instictively However it happened you have a direct connection into my heart I'd be so lost without you, for you are now such an essential part You feed my soul with life and make my spirit shine so very bright Nowhere would my heart find another one so perfect and so right The air you breathe has been sanctified because you touched it first And I don't need anything else it's just for you my soul thirsts You have the power to move me and fill me with visions of delight And I could spend ten thousand lifetimes sitting within your light You are all these things I say and then so very much more Oh my beloved one I was blessed the day I opened this your door Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Marsha, both Mushy, marvellous and Slushy, spectacular. Sorry I'm tardy, I'm sorry I'm late I took your advice, I've been outa the state so much on the run,on my holiday no time for fun, no time to play I missed reading you, you know that's true so what is a girl supposed, now to do I thought I will wait, be first at the gate on your 2000th, I will celebrate Sing songs of good cheer, say glad you are here, and wish you best wishes for the rest of the year. During the time left, a week maybe more I know your new target is 3000 and four So here is my rhyme, though not done on time with thanks for your poetry, and wishes sublime Kethry Religion is for people frightened about going to hell - Spirituality is for people who have been there. You are truely a treasure here to so many so I know that before long you will be celebrating your 5000th post. CONGRATS. So happy that you have found a home here with us. Mark my dear friend, I am the one who has to thank all here, and as I've said many times before, my reasons to thank you personally are too numerous to mention. I love all here, but like everyone I have my own particular favourites. And you are quite clearly obviously on that list. Your writing is always so outstanding and stunning that it is a pure joy to read. But I never ever just read it, without effort, without exception it reaches within my spirit and converses quite naturally with it. And this you do time after time, it really is magical. Your poems act on me in the same way that I gazed in wonder at Rodin's Kiss, or Michelangelo's David, and for that I thank you. As for being late, I was hardly early myself, and anyway when you leave such a wonderful reply I'm tempted to ask you to sin again, just for the pleasure of it. Take care and may you have a fantastic wonderful Christmas Mushy Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |
