In case you have difficulty understanding why there is a question mark, it is to indicate the wonderment if perhaps Yaquina Head Lighthouse is a mirror image to the true Light. Mirror Image? Virginia Salter Standing on the shore looking out to sea oh, glorious Yaquina, you face away from me Your guiding light so powerful, so true must I be at sea to reap the light from you? Does playing it safe by standing on the land steal away a chance for me to know your guiding hand? Must I go out on a limb or head toward jagged rocks need I dangle from a precipice or merely stand and knock? Might I only need to seek the leading of your way coming to you with my plea then heed what you convey? Help me understand through the frailty of my mind your light can still be for me if I truly seek to find. © October 21, 2000 |

VAS---this one goes into MY library...loved the imagery and the questions posed. Most appropriate thoughts for this Winter Solstice day...thank you (that's four, and I'm still grinning) |

Wow, I didn't even think about it being winter solstice. I've been under the weather and am coming out of it, I believe. I finally have written my Christmas letter. Now I just need to print out my Christmas poem/s and get them in the mail. Coming out of the well, I am. I think it will be a poem, don't know though. Theme may be too over done. Thanks, serenity for your kind words!!! |
