Christmas is coming
Let’s go to parties
Let’s march right up
Laughing real hearty
We'll sing us a song
As if we belong
When Christmas time is near

Cookies and candy
Come in real handy
Our noses are runny
We have no real money
But we can sing
Those jingle bells
Let’s find us some houses
Rich men and their spouses
They’ll sweep us both up
And all will be well

Christmas is coming
When dreams will come true
With a wish to be loved, my brother, I do
Brother I tell you one day will be so
Our angel will come and up we will go

I don’t think at Christmas
Though cold as we are
To find us some warmth
We’ll have to go far
Christmas is sharing
Christmas is caring
Let’s go find love to keep
Our rags that we wear
A babe once did bare
In a manger was born
In heavenly sleep

So for those that may laugh
Or turn us away
We live life like Jesus
That’s what we'll say
Jesus then born without anything
We too are fit to be kings

We just want to be held and kissed
Want to be loved, want to be missed
If we’ve no homes at least we’ll provide
Dwellings for Jesus, He who has died

We will survive I know that it’s cold
For so long a new life has been foretold
Singing carols around barrels
Lit by warm flames
Wishing two strangers
Would call us by name
Driving a car they’d dash us away
Then Christmas would be a wondrous day

Let’s not lose sight, our focus is clear
Through Christ we will find, Christmas has cheer
Hey brother wake up
Let’s go for a Christmas affair
Where children are welcome
I’ll race you right there

Thank you for giving if you were able this year
We know there was love in your gifts and your souls
And for all of our hopes we will wish you good cheer
Through your kindness and Jesus we will be whole

Merry Christmas

I realy liked your perspective with this poem....  I felt that I was the brother awake... I could feel the chill and the warmth standing around that bonfire... It is amazing how much faith that man has in Christ to realize that he is not alone but he has a friend who went through the very things he now faces.  A Wnderful Christmas poem and to you,  Bob <><
