Does Hurting Ease Pain

I've walked the narrow paths of pain
Lost in the depths of despair and disdain
Stretched out arms so weak from trying
Mumbled words of sorrows, muffled, crying

I have seen both sides of pain
The inner self shatter
And the outer self shudder
I have searched for truth that never came
Given of myself, losing all dignity
Only to find what prevailed was animosity

The bleeding of my heart will not cease
For this wound is far gone to be mended
Love I still have, and tenderness to lend
But whatever reason your anger sees
To keep hurting my being in its powerlessness
I want you to know that I hold no grudge

For if hurting me is what you want
I shall see my days end untying the dove of peace
Releasing it to touch your heart
Telling you that pain I did endure
And my love for you will remain as pure
Because all the hurt cannot ever erase
The good times we had together
And the shared memories that last forever

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
(Daniel J D)

Daniel, that's a tough one....I don't know if it ever helps ease the pain, but
you write of this beautifully.  Hugs.

This tugged at my heart...

Sometimes it hurts to love unselfishly...

Beautifully written...

I love the time
and in between
the calm inside me
in the space
where I can breathe...

Gentle Spirit,
Pain is something that really betrays. Sometimes we cannot see people hurt, but in reality we all hurt somehow, because love is never without pain.

Man this is what I call tough and relentless love but sometimes you may have to let go cause I don't think someone should suffer as much pain from someone else...you know what I'm saying? Emotional and terrific piece!

JD~
So very well said -
When you pen your heart - the ache is there.

I've heard that -

There is a love so great that the pain of it embraces the ecstasy...
and makes a heart long not to love.

But try as we might - it doesn't happen so easily.
*hugs*

"The inner self shatter
and the outer self shudder."
I know I've felt both of those somewhere along the line...I love you weave of hurt and pain and how the two can be different...well written.....love the idea all the way around!

*sigh* my heart bleeds for you dear one. I know and understand this kind of deep pain. Only love can heal it, my friend. I know I am new here but if you like my email is available to you. Much love and Christmas hugs from me to you.

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com

Serenity
Thank you, pain is often lost while trauma takes control of a person in despair. Fighting for composure is the key to regaining that control. One has to persist.

Marge, Ethome, James, Paula, and Startime,
Your words are very comforting, but this hurt deep within is one that will take a long tome to heal, and I realise that I have to live with it perhaps for the rest of my days. Life has to go on.

DANIEL, the above I highlight touched me in ways I cannot find words to say...

This spoke beyond words on page...
The feelings weaved into this poem or may I say expression of poetic style just tugged at my inner emotions from the beginning to end...

My compliments to you for the exquisite write...
