Fairest maiden of mine heart
May I to thee my love impart?
I offer thee a love honest and true
A love that I offer only to you

I pledge thee my sword Lady Light
To protect thee by day and by Night
My shield I will place 'round thy soul
So that Death may not find thee so cold

In mine dreams have I seen thy face
Dreams that led me to this place
And in those dreams I gave my song
And you gave the love for which I longed

I know thy heart my Lady Fair
There is indeed none other beyond compare
For I have seen it in the skies
Someone who wouldst hear mine heart's cry

And to my heart she would give
The love for which I have lived
A love so warm, loving and kind
That I was told I would ne'er find

To thy heart I now give mine own
Fertile ground where love can be sown
This is the pledge I make to thee
A love which will set thine heart free

Fairest maiden of mine heart
May I to thee my love impart?
I offer thee a love honest and true
A love that I offer only to you

Sven,
Oh my knight woulds't thou indeed
pledge thy sword and pledge thy steed
over all thee pledges heart
oh my knight! my troth impart
thou hast gifted much to me
in thy write of poetry
seen my heart and seen my soul
gave the gift that helped me whole
and now you offer up your love
to a maiden such is a treasure trove
so I pledgest in my troth
oh my knight, be not wroth
If thou shoulds't pledge to another
my heart is stilled, and under cover
but if the pledge is true, heartsworn
thou wilt not find me, lost forlorn
but pledgest thou, in word and deed
if be not lover, be friend in need.
Keth

*sigh* oh Sven, this one softened me so beautifully. I love the way you express yourself. You touch the heart so very easily. Thank you, thank you. You have gifted me softness this night. Hugs to you, sweet man. Much love to you from me.

Good Knight, thee Kind Sir
pray thee dwell then abide
come from thy darkened side
sit and speak with me here

but no promises, kind Sir
no faint heart cause thine
to stir and flutter in kind
and nay, do not call me dear

for want of company I doth call
for on thy countenance I would peek
but nay, forsake this night's long pall
for I am not of whom you seek

Guardian Knight, so kind, so wise
your honour do not thee compromise
but seek thy heart in winsome lass
and naught in shine of crystal glass...

Karilea
If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Sven, kind Sir any woman would be glad to call you her Sir Knight. "Honest and true love", what more could a woman ask for. Thank you for being that kind of man.

Sorry I'm late, and knowing you - knowing me as you do, you'd have known how much this one would appeal to me.   Nothing more romantic than a Knight declaring his love for his lady fair.
Mi Lord ye hath softened this maiden's heart yet again, ye ken?
Beautiful Sven..
