Angels Looking In & Love Has Given Me (forced during "writers block")

These were forced writes when I couldn't think of a thing to write, so after hanging on to them so long figured I'd run them by you guys anyway. Year end cleaning - know what I mean?  jimmy

Love Has Given Me

Love has given me
far more than I can repay;
belief in all that God has said,
a  wife, children, friends,
a world so beautiful by day,
a night of stars,
heavens as far as I can see.
Love has shown me,
a way to walk,
other paths to take,
places to rest
for eternity.
Love has held my hand,
enraptured my heart,
nursed me back to health,
hugged my tortured soul
when I was sure,
there was nothing left.
Love has let me be myself,
choose the way I wished to go,
yet shown me how
to share what I know.
Love has given me so much more
than I can give back;
but try I will by telling you
the wondrous things
Love has taught me to say.

Angels Looking In

Deep in the recesses of my soul,
tucked far beneath everything I know,
I've hidden all thoughts of you.
I've sealed away the love
that flowed like life itself,
that filled my heart beyond belief,
that touched me
as only God could know.
Deep inside I feel a warmth,
a radiant touch that's starting to grow.
The ache I had,
the anger I felt,
the crying I've done,
has started to go.
I'm  coming alive,
I'm healing I know,
my time will come again,
my prayers have been answered,
I know this is so!
This warmth within
this glow I know,
God's angels
are looking in.
