Loves' Fire

I'm hot you tell me as you pull me closer to your chest
And the breath in my throat catches here in my breast
I can feel your heart hammering or is that really mine
I can see you pulse is racing I take it you're feeling fine
Heat seems to build and I wonder from where it springs
But one thing I know this is not just one of those things
My breath comes in rapid shortened gasps of pure delight
As we sail into heated bliss of lovers sacred liquid light

I'm coasting into heaven borne there on wings of desire
And you're flying there beside me urging me to go higher
Why did I never know that this joy was there just for me?
At another time I'll question why this I couldn't, didn't see
But right now we're dancing together on the edges of bliss
I want nothing to divert my attention away from your kiss
My mind just can't concentrate on anything other than you
And this trip to heaven held in your arms close and true

When this magic trip is over and I return again to sanity
I'll know that this is special and how love was meant to be
I know that tender touches should touch more than skin
They should touch you there in your spirit, there within
For true love is special it doesn't come around every day
So when it comes to you, it should be encouraged to stay
As my breath and heart slow down to a level I can bare
I look into your eyes and see loves' fire still waiting there
