Listening to every heart

sleep comes, rustling branch
shivers in the frigid night
sap stays at the foot

life breaths in quiet
soul of tree stays hidden now
waiting for the warm

black, white, gray night comes
harboring promises of
life's love of life's song

Love this The haiku form works well in this triplet.

Good day,
I love all three of these.  Beautifully done.

Karilea - These visions of the frigid winter bring forth my own dreams of tranquility and peace - may I respond in kind?  heh heh - as if she could say, "NO" you devil, Long John  Thank you, Karilea

Blast of heartless wind
Pins kitty against window
Wait until morning.

Kitty scratches glass
Pitiful mewing is sweet
Soon fades in the cold.

Morning comes too late
Kitty is stuck to the glass
Long John gets scraper.

Sunshine gets present
Just in time for this Christmas
Long John sends his cat.

Merry Christmas, Karilea - It has been a great year, and you are a part of the reason.

Again, I say, there should be a name for writing Haiku in this manner. . . in this style. . . 9 lines, alternating 5-7-5 in 3 stanzas. . . Anyone???

Beautiful from you as always my friend. . .

Kari love, you're so right it was the most abreviated message I've ever sent to you. I was in the middle of another storm in a teacup. It seems everyone needs a break I think, and I shall be ver greatful when Friday comes and all those people who aren't working over the hols go home. Talk about peace and goodwill it seems in very short supply at the moment.

Now how beautiful these are love, you really do have the perfect poetic pen.   I really do adore these.
Take care love

Sven, I agree...name that style!....

Marsha, 'twould seem my pen attracts rats in the form of pirates...but I adore your words regardless....hugs,
