In our times from long ago
There seemed a special bonding
Destiny seemed to play a role
Reunion fanned the embers
Sweet the hours of loving bliss
Lonely hearts reached and touched
Need recognized and answered need
A moment out of time
Now time and sanity return
Reality has intervened
Back in our own real worlds
Though memories sweet will remain
The simple truth is very clear
We're better friends than lovers  < !signature-->

Hi everybody!!! Just got back a few days ago from a mini-vacation....I'm going to have a lot of reading to do!!!!

Welcome back.  Sometimes good friends are better left that way and not try to make more out of it than is really there but it is always worth investigating now isn't it?  Lovely write to return with.

Pepper, hi there, welcome back. This is terrific, a really great poem from you. Ahhh but when it works out, it's heaven, isn't it!! I really love this one, but then you know I'm always looking on the bright side.
Take care

I looked into the sky for my anthem
The words and music came through
But words and music can never touch the beauty that I've seen
Looking into you

Welcome back Peppermint....
This poem reminds me a time in my life long ago....
Some what of a dream that would never come true, in my case anyway.

"Reality has intervened
Back in our own real worlds
Though memories sweet will remain"

Powerful words to me.
Well done

Sometimes it is better to stay friends...but how do you know unless you try? Great having you back Pepper

I didn't want to appear to be nonappreciative of all the lovely comments from everyone....

but shortly after my return, I became a grandmother again and then....of course, in the way life has....my aunt passed on....

so I'm way, way behind....but I love all of you for all your comments, encouraging words....and just for being the great people you all are

Btw, the one really good, and sometimes very difficult thing in a situation like this is to let the friendship remain....but it's worth it, yes, it is usually worth it...
