The Fragrance of Pain The blind fool in her rushes forward, reaching the balustrade, ice cold metal tightly gripped within trembling hands Her heart lies wrapped in a bouquet, deep inside the baggage she wears, a cement weight A methodical, hypnotic melody rises from the rushing waters Leaning ... No longer feeling the weight against her chest No longer hearing the silence that comes from the empty eyes of a lover And the fingers of fate that hide in the wind carry her away in the rain ... Now, if you come to this bridge on night like this one... You'll hear his whispering cries For the petals of love he left out in the rain still carry the fragrance of pain "...I am a river in winter, quiet in the eyes of most but deep, swift and full of life to one, lucky enough to fall through the ice. |
