*This is yet another one of my translations from Russian. This poem was written by Boris Pasternak during the summer of 1917. “Be careful, do not touch, wet paint”— My soul would pay the price, The past on calves and cheeks is stained,-- On arms, on lips, on eyes. I loved you more than grief and glee Because when by your side, The old and yellowed world would be More white than any white. I swear to you, my dusk, by chance, One day will be, my friend, More white than any lampshade, trance, Or bandage on the head! |

Hi Master, Let me share yet another tidbit from a yettobe famous Russian-author, learning tact is a simple test of learning for human usage, yet to be completed in mankind of tackless writing and behavior so enjoyed the wet paint comparison to sacrificial lambs (so to speak) very clever and not easily understood. such a fine artiss to put this together for the sake of (well, for the sake of what would that be?) |
