My Heart Seeks By Richard Maxfield 12-17-2000 With pen in hand I write words of love To my lady unknown Pouring my heart My soul, my life’s blood Into penned dreams In dreamless fantasies We dance through the night My lips at your neck We go to secret places Where we share romance Love divine I sleep each night Pulling my pillow close Wishing it was you Waiting for the day We come face to face Unite into one spirit Until that day comes I see you in my dreams I feel you in my soul My love will wait For the one and only My heart seeks |

*Sigh* This is a beautiful tribute to your lady to be. I hope you keep this one so when you find her.... you can give it to her! ~Sheri "The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first" |

Even more sighs from me, I really felt the longing in your poem, as I too feel this way about my knight unknown. You have a great talent to express so much in few lines and few words. The three lined verses were very effective and it flowed very well. This poem read as both a hopeful yet sorrowful piece to me and that's why it touched me on many levels. I look forward to more poems by you Take care, Melissa The beauty of poetry gives my soul wings to fly free within dreams |

Thank you Melissa for your comments. I do my best to say more with less. it can be hard some times but then if I cut the fluf out and get to what I want to say its not that hard. Love and light, Richard |

Richard, When you find her, you must show her this so she can see that all along you were dreaming of her . . . patiently waiting . . . Wonderful writing. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
