We all must face a future
with hidden destinies,
and accept those things
that are just meant to be.

We must choose the path
that our feet will take,
and travel down the road
of decisions that we make.

With each mile that we travel
there is a lesson to be learned,
and there is no looking back
once a bridge has been burned.

With each step that we take
be it together, or alone,
Around every corner turned
lies the great unknown.

On the wings of words our spirits fly, and our souls are free. ~me~

Gentle Spirit,

You are very wise my friend.  You never know what adventures life will throw your way.  Well done.

Just waking up can be an adventure sometimes and that is the beauty of it all.  You never know but you should always be prepared for it.  Live it, accept it and make the most of it.  Wonderful write and so full of wisdom.  Loved it.

GentleSpirit~
This is a little gem of wisdom and beauty.

'With each mile that we travel
there is a lesson to be learned,
and there is no looking back
once a bridge has been burned.'

My grandmother taught me early in life -
'Mending fences is better than burning bridges.'
It always amazes me - how much she knew.

A very thoughtful piece, hon.

I am overwhelmed at your responses tonight,
and truly wish I had more time to spend in replies to you all, but thank you all so very much.  I honestly don't know if it's wisdom, or just a learning process.  Thank you all so much.
