P.S. for Doreen thought of you this night computer light looking at me straight in the eye TV off to the right Channel 8, PBS caught my ear P.S. was on and Doreen knows I had to stop the channel surfing to sing along sing song go along with the tide of waves waving wild my stride giving me again a place to hide in my heart as the tunes of the troubadour roll along the poet's song gave sing-a-long I am a Rock I am an Island and the Baileys in my coffee says "no pain" and he sings "no pain" and how I miss the daily of him on the radio every time the glow of a memory comes by Sounds of Silence creep in… P.S. - Doreen he went to new! new songs and new belongings to newer times and he morphs along still the troubadour of my youth bringing you along to greet me on the road what do you think his inspiration is and where does it come from for him, DP? Just listen… he makes it sound so easy… and you and I could do it… well, you can do it… and I listen and I see Doreen writing all the words she writes like he sings it rings she rocks! You are young I am older and we find truly listening we find P.S. in our uncommon minds…. makes me smile Doreen has better chance to make P.S. proud, and I will be happy just to know the two of them one a little bit better than the other… my good fortune for sending a message of P.S. to Doreen Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

...over troubled water..... karilea- you honor me more than i can put in words.... i have loved paul simon all of my life and would marry him if he were available...ROFL... could you let him know that please? lol.... this is a wonderful poem and i am truly blown out of the water, still, that in my writing, you see something of one of my most treasured and admired lyricists..... his work is truly genius and i have been known to play his cds until they get handled so much, i have to replace them... that's how it was with "graceland" especially, and now with the new one... god, it's a fabulous album!!!! and as far as me being younger and you being older, well, paul said it best.... "The world is old.! The Bible's old. God is old, he made the mold! But we're not old......" ..... please do yourself a favor and go out and buy the new album... it's a treat in both music, lyrics, and wisdom..... and check out the Lorraine song... lol... "you're not the woman i married! give me back my bathrobe, i'm going back to bed... i''m sick to death of you, Lorraine!" rofl.... see? i'm wearing the darn thing out.. i've listened to it at least once a day since i bought it a couple of weeks ago... oh, geez...i'm sorry, i'm on a paul simon ramble... *sigh*.... THANK YOU for this poem, my dear friend.... i am truly honored and you are a wonderful poet and special person..... < !signature--> - all you can ever really ask out of life is a sincere apology and some decent poetry - [This message has been edited by doreen peri (edited 12-15-2000).] |

You three! too much fun... 'Deer, thanks for reading...I can't think of Paul Simon anymore without Doreen coming to mind, and vice versa...she is one talented lady as we all know... Nan, right on!... Doreen...if I should ever meet him, he shall know where YOU live...bread and butter, wine and cheese...Paul and Doreen....yep! And if I get some $$$ for Christmas, I'm off to buy the album! Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |
