Hunger
For passions yet known
Those that deceive
For needs that have grown

Hunger
For excitement
The pounding of that beat
Desires of the moment
The pleasures that we reap

Hunger
For advancement
Moving forward from this time
Not needing to look back
No questions to define

Hunger
For the fire
That which makes you yearn
Confined without desire
The flame no longer burns

Hunger
For that closure
To set my mind at ease
Understanding all that ails me
Beyond that which is seen

Hunger
Is not defined by one word
But a culmination of desires and hopes
That edge us ever forward
Helping us to cope
With life.

Rich? I LOVED the last stanza...how often do we say, after eating, "I didn't know how hungry I was?" Most often, we don't. Most painful, is when we do. Keep 'em coming...
Your writing is remarkable, and I am enjoying muchly!
