Taste my nectar
Fill my empty garden
with your blossom of tenderness.

Speak to me
with gentle promises
Let my soul drown
in the echoes of your love.

Long enough to let me feel it escape
from my secret longing
As we watch it fall completely.

until we believe long enough
to see the fantasy disappear
in it's surreal cocoon
and become reality...

I wish your knight would be as he should, Elise, and maybe soon he willbe. But if not, you have so much beauty within you, there has to be another that will come.

      You're knight is riding side by side with mine. You are too beautiful to not embrace that enchantment. Their horses have just been a little slow these many, many MANY years....

I teared up reading this... because I am ending a relationship right now because all those things in your poem never became that important "reality" which you speak of. So heartfelt, so true to our emotions. I loved this, even though it made me cry. A keeper for sure.

This sounds like it is from The Song of Solomon. It's lovely, well written verse. You are a fine poet. Believe me. I am Wise and know these things.

   So sorry to hear of your relationship ending. Sometimes the end, doesn't always mean the end. And if perhaps in the case it is, your heart will shine for another love, that will come to you.Love has a way of gently guiding you in its infinite wisdom.  I wish the best for you, and I hope all will work out.
