Desolation Sometimes, the night swallows me in it's darkness, like a billowing vortex of ebony. The silence is so foreboding. The stars are quiet and still. And they have become enveloped in shadows that no longer shine their essence upon my soul. I gaze at the moon, that is buried between velvet curtains, robbing my world from light. I crawl deep within my sorrows, and hold my pain in my arms. Cradling my wounds, as if to heal them, and set them free. My heart is an orphan child... ...That no one will take home to love. |

Sven, Thank you so much! Sometimes the darkness can be so ominous, and writing helps me make it through. So do caring writers like you. I love hearing from you! Elise |
