Gallery Reading Room Queen of Light you have spoken from age to age to poets and minstrels, prophets and sages in languages heard and unheard they have both worshiped and feared you loved and desired you held you and cherished you and you blessed them with the power of yourself warming their lives and filling their hearts giving to them that which they sought most yourself and in giving yourself to them you inspired them they sang songs to you they wrote words of love to you they created cities and nations for you all for just one glimpse of you of your Golden Face the face of Light the face of Love your face a face that spoke not of hate a face that only spoke of love this was what they sought what they gave their lives for what they pledged their hearts to you were their lives and you loved them for they only made you brighter and as you gathered them into yourself they knew the love of the ages the love they had sought for so long they found it in you you sought it in them for only the most noble could gather in you Light only they, the pure of heart, could find you treasure of all life Gold of all time Queen of Light again we gather here in your presence to sing of you to praise you to love you Light of Life Light of Love Bless us all Here above Light of Love Light of Peace May your love Never cease Light of Peace Light Divine May our Light Always shine hear our song Queen of Light for without you we are Dark and alone and lost -------------------------------------------------------------------- < !signature--> That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl [This message has been edited by Sven (edited 12-13-2000).] |

To think that you might know this person that holds that power is awesome...I do believe, Sven, you found her on another plane...she was most likely a Greek Goddess, was she not? This, Sir...is a welcome addition to your Gallery Reading Room, and worthy of all libraries for those who shall come in to read... Well done!... < !signature--> Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. I hope to spend more time here reading. This is a wonderful place to begin. You use a format that is pleasing to the eye. Your verse is indicative of a talented poet. *If the shoe fits ... the castle is yours* |

I can tell the "Queen of Light" is a good friend of yours. She shines down on you from high above giving you the ability to write in honor of her. Sir, as always you can write of love and make us feel life is still good. |

Sven, I do believe this is the most wonderful piece of poetry I have ever read. Write on Kethry Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant - Thoreau |

Sven, Your depth of emotion brings color and beauty to this otherwise black and white world. Your poem focuses on a Queen, a paragon of beauty. I see the beauty of the heart of the King who penned it. You are terrific! Elise |
