He can make you heart soar
With words, that touch your soul
He can make poetry roar
He can comfort, fill and make whole

He can bring on heart wrench
As he sings songs of romance
While you rest aside from love's bench
Or join him in the dance

He will provide encouragement
When rocky is the way
He'll share in your contentment
Through bright and shining day

A steadfast man firm as a rock
He give's a taste of heaven
In his words you can take stock
When spiced with humor's leaven.

What?!!!  Only four stanzas?!!!!  Thank you Kethry - I am abashed at the adulation.  Naturally, I will try to live up this lofty standard.

Irish - Yanno, I've got this tingling, Spiderman-like sensation niggling at me concerning your comment about me being a prize.  You DO realize (don't you?) that a comment like that can bring out the worst in Balladeer and Toerag?  I'm sure it was an innocent compliment.  oops - There's that feeling again!

ET - You really enjoyed this?  oops - There goes that feeling AGAIN!

Nan - Is there any way to block Balladeer and Toerag from responding to this wonderful, sensitive, factual poem?  *hopeful eyes*

Hey Kethry... Nice work here.. and LngJhn is indeed a prize...

Tell ya what, LJA... Lorelei and I can be lookouts - We'll watch for those miscreants... If we see one of 'em... we'll divert their attention...  We are on a mutual mission to give 'em a big SMOOCH Sandwich, after all... That oughta do it.....

Thanks everyone,
He is special i'nt he. (Special enough to ride in a blue bus with the words "SPASTIC" written gloriously on the side.) Sorry LJA couldn't resist and you know I'm irresistable.

Yes, Long John, I know!  But I try to find the good in everyone, even people who hate cats!!  ha ha.... and everytime I see YOUR name I want a donut, you know chocolate covered long-johns we have them at the local bakery..."Long's Bakery" maybe I will write a poem about it for you sometime, would you like that....

besides, I'm in a good mood today, something in the water......I'm sure they will retaliate with a wonderful thread to match this one by Kethry's and we'll all see more of your wonderful qualities. whoo hoo.....(this is the french side of me, sorry everyone, I really am only half-Irish)< !signature-->

LJA...you are right. Only four stanzas for ya? Not enough! Allow me to add more....

As a mountain, he's a molehill
He's a real piece of work
Disregard the countless millions
Who consider him a jerk.

Though he may be IQ challenged
I would never call him dumb
He has a zest for life within him
That will always leave one....numb.

He's real good at strong lovemaking
And he never thinks it queer
That, when he's at the height of passion,
His wife screams out "Balladeer!!!"

Now it's a larger tribute to ya
And you deserve each single word
How could ya think that I don't love ya?
The thought is really quite absurd!!!
