Will You Play Christmas Games

I've given you my soul and then I went and handed you my heart
All I really ask of you is that you please don't tear it all apart
I know that you're very busy and that you have lots of things to do
But I need you very badly my beloved and I have some needs too
I need to feel your loving arms wrapped securely around me
I need to be really certain that our love is truly destined to be

I'm not being unreasonable, am I, to ask for some of your time
What I honestly want to know is whether our love will stay fine
I know truthfully that you do love me, as I really do love you
But will that be quite enough when someone else then kisses you
Your heart may stay ever true but when that old temptation calls
Will you chase the Christmas promise and make true love look like a fool

I know that you wouldn't deliberately try to tear out my heart
But these Christmas games don't know just what it is they start
I don't want to spoil your games kiss them all for sheer fun
But when the night is over and all the kissing has been done
I ask you my love to save your sweetest kisses just for me
I'll be waiting there under the mistletoe for you to come on home to me

My kisses will taste so much sweeter and my touch is always true
And if it took a thousand lifetimes I'd still wait here for you
So if you notice that those stars are peeking down from on high
Remember that our souls together fly up into that eternal starry sky
I'll be there with my arms open wide and my eyes full of delight
To play some Christmas games of kissing long into the magic night

Marsha, if he doesn't behave, just let me know...I'll send some manly men of Passions over to bop him just so...

we'll watch out for you!

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Kari love, thank you kindly, and I'll be fine you know I will. (I think I was having a little reflective day yesterday, but there is no point in it at all)
Today however, I'm back to accentuating the positive,
Take care kid

I enjoyed this,
At first I was a bit dismayed by the line length.
The longer lined poems tend to get word burdened,
devolving into nothing more than prose.
I then realized this probably had music behind it,
It was a song.
Or a foot print of a song,
As if someone had walked in the snow,
you know of their passing, even though you can’t see them.
Perhaps my humming will strike the tune,
I wonder which one will match your words.

Professor Gloom, thank you, in that case I'll ask P T to do write it for me.
Take care
