..like running a marathon You find it novel You gallantly accept the challenge, You use it to stretch your limits Why pretend to be engrossed in its experience when all you gain is sores and blisters and your aching legs wobble like they will fall apart any moment? |

Yes! To the victor go the spoils, but one wins not without sacrificing and unduring along the way. There is no pretension if you compete, only toil and the goal. Live for love. Without love, you don't live. |

Kaile, Life is more than a heart beating and our lungs taking in air, lifes joys are shaped by the obstacles we overcome and learn from to prepare ourselves for the next set of hurdles. To always take the path of least resistance we would rob ourselves of any sense of achievement and acomplishment and purpose. Stay on course for a wondeful adventure called LIFE! Your first stanza...that is life. Your second stanza...periodic moments of fatigue, hopelessness may they always remain only periodic and may stanza one rise, ever and always for you and others we must keep on going for as long as it takes, mustn't we? |

Ah, Kaile~ I have no marathons to run, for I stroll leisurely through this life. Always on the lookout for others, so I can share their strife. 'Why pretend to be engrossed in its experience' No need for pretending, when to friendships I am tending. Life challenges me - and I am the wearer of it's experience. *Smile*, sweet poet ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

kaile~ this was a very good and interesting read...even if my opinion on the subject does differ slightly. hehe. i believe that life is whatever we make it, in many ways we choose our destiny. now sometimes in life as we all know things happen that we didn't expect, and it causes sadness and pain, but i am a firm believer that if we didnt experience those times then we wouldn't really know what true happiness was. take care my poet friend. ~amy~ |

believe that those soars, blisters and wobbling legs build a persons character. If we do not toil through life....how can we appreciate it. If things come easy and are handed to us.... I feel that to many things would be taken for granted. You've pointed out a very important fact of life..... and message. ~Sheri "The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first" |

Hmmm... I think one might not be engrossed in life's experience and even enjoy it, but then that's part of our life. I'm not making sense Well, you must know that people always say that it's not the end that matters, but the process. That is VERY true for life, coz the end is death. I don't understand how one could look forward to death, but then life's process is the only thing that one can really enjoy out of life, isn't it? _,,,^.^,,,_ |
