I think I need to quit listening to the golden oldies because I know all of the words and that loving feeling is gone, gone, gone, and crying comes too easy and when he bought this diamond ring I truly believed it would always make me sing and the longest hour is just before dawn but somehow I’m up and struggle on (you aren’t supposed to know that all of sunshine’s rays comes from the poets for whom she prays) and then the saffron song crosses air waves and yellow is the color of the day, mellowing the mood making it all once again good and one two three falling in love can be too easy was too easy way back then discretion would now be worthy of pen see how the song takes the brain right along and eyes cry and arms long and hurt is hurting all over and bam back to the bottom again so I shall sit and let the songs play and let my moods take on the up and down of their way for if I were to turn it off off then the silence would be deafening and I might miss the right silent song and Paul, he would never forgive me for losing out on reminiscing with him of how it was but I may just change the station to country-western or maybe classics if they keep singing about crying and lying and tears and fears but am stopped before dial is turned by a beautiful morning…. and a dancing queen...< !signature--> Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 12-05-2000).] |

Karilea, Excellently written! I very much enjoyed reading...but, dear, country and western has the saddest songs anyone could ever sing. Stick to oldies! lol Kris All good poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings...~William Wordsworth |

You have just put into works why, with the exception of Heavy metal and rap, I enjoy all kinds of music. I must admit, however, I really enjoy the "oldies" from Classical to the Eagles and most everything in between - including country. AND you will never lose that loving feeling. It just wouldn't be Righteous, sister.< !signature--> Live for love. Without love, you don't live. [This message has been edited by Interloper (edited 12-05-2000).] |

Kari, I never listen to anything but oldies these days love. (Unless it's Robbie Williams or Ronan Keating perhaps ) But then you know I'm a sucker for love songs Wonderful Kari, this really captured the mood, (I remember when I'm trying to forget) It's funny I've come so far along the path and then bang I hear a song I'm back there. Love this one I really do, you really do have an uncanny ability love, truly you do. Take care Majestic Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Aha..I like almost all the new stuff coming out...new and exciting...I have some old favorite CD's but if I listen to them to often they become stale...can only listen to the same old stuff if I'm in just the right mood with just the right person...James |

I was singing along with you on this one...silently of course as my voice causes small children to cry Beautiful melodious weave Karilea...this took some time and it shows my friend! The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched ---- they must be felt with the heart~ *??* |

Now I know of "An Old Fashion Love Song" that would really fit the mood "In This Old House" tonight but of course we wouldn't want to cause the night to "Slip...Slip...Slip(ing) Away" now would we? Wonderful penning my friend and yes those golden oldies can churn up some very emotional times. A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses. author unknown |

Oh, very sneaky, Karilea You got me humming Stagger Lee! With Sixteen Candles shining bright Aglow in The Still of the Night. If I had sunshine on my shoulder I'm sure my actions would get bolder And I could have a lot of fun If someone said Here Comes The Sun! But I am just a Lonely Boy Without a single Ode to Joy I'll cry if I want to, don't you see 'Cause nothing's in My Diary. (jeez! This could get to be addicting!!!) |

Oh, beautifully said Karilea ... the oldies are my favorites. I have so many "oldies" on tape (now on CD, lol ... care for 8-track? I still got em), you'd think I'd never grown up (what do you mean I'm not 18 anymore????) Loved this! Best wishes, /Kit |

well shoot...I guess I'm going to have to listen more to music and type as I listen because y'all seem to like it...{~,^} Mr. Yeats...I grew up with that music [we were TV poor for so long...radio and LPs were the name of the game] so don't play with my heart...I can sing you word for word... Marsha, I do not know the names of those you placed, but I'd bet I'd like them...anything but acid rock for me...well,...most anything...heck yeah, even some rap or two now and then, but hold the four letter words... Virginia...there's a lot to be said about country music...especially the good stuff... James, I think the new kids coming out with music that I understand has been most wonderful...it's when the noise run over the words that I have a problem...I want to hear it all blend...fast or slow...give me something to dance by any day...and I'm happy... Ethome...what me down? You mean that Orb up there...even now on the other side of the world...down? No sir, but a gray day now and then, and I just have to work a little harder to lift the veil which sometimes we need, just as the Earth needs, for nourishment... so I guess the question is: am I Sunshine? Sometimes. Other days, just KRJ... Deb...you relate to these songs? Bless your heart! Oldies Rule! BDC...LOL with you...making children cry! C'mon...but I love the fact that you peek in now and then...thank you dear... Mark, my friend, I grew up on music...'tis in my soul...and I sing in the shower and my favorite is [can you keep a secret?] Que Sera, Sera...and...Secret Love...now...those are OLD... 'Deer...now, that is the last name I ever thought MY name would be rhymed to...but I LOVE it...and yes...working with the music will ALWAYS be addicting... Martie...Dream on!... Kit...my first husband took his 8's with him...but I have some wonderfully grand LPs...unfortunately, my grandfather's 78's are who knows where...wish Mom had given them to me...I'm such a collector...of stuff... everyone...thank you for reading...this has been so much fun... < !signature--> Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 12-05-2000).] |

Same here, Kari, the oldies will always take me to a certain spot, a moment in time, and often it is a sad time, but I would never want to lose the memories. (Let me add that the saddest music I think I have ever heard has been Country) No salvation there. Rock on.. Sandra |

NO! Never give up your oldies, I could write all day on my love for them! What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life. Walt Whitman |
