Listening to every heart

0 posted 2000-10-10 11:11 AM

                                    Yours

                                thy whisper comes
                                hovering
                                on horsetails of  soft swirl
                                o’er me
                                and causes a dancing
                                in my soul
                                as singing joins in this
                                reverie
                                a most numinous embrace
                                within

                                yes
                                thy whisper comes

in one voice so sweetly soft
                                heaven
knows these, the voices of angels
                                as
a lone angel comes, only to me
                                to
                                give up pleasure
                                in a
                                whisper

                                and lifts me up

                                enigmatically murmuring

                                mine

and to thee, this, thy whisper
                                I am

                                yours

About time too! I've been beggin how long?

Kari - I can definitely appreciate the imagery which has grown in bounds with your poetry lately. Its soft hush whispers gentle songs in my mind. (I didn't read it out loud though, 'cause I'm at work and they think I'm weird enough as is...)

Peace m'friend, I dig this much.

Wonderful my friend. . .

Your writing has taken on a whole new life of its own. . . you know this don't you?

Just let it flow. . . and don't stop!!

Now isn't this some big growth spurt you are in?  You were amazing before but now you have crossed the lines of outstanding and beyond. WOWEEEEEEE....cowboy likes the wind in which this one blows in on.  Isn't it so wonderful how a little whisper carries so much power?

Karilea-

If you can continue to fire my imagination and draw me mothlike to the flaming beauty of your words with the same frequency you have of late - I'll be compelled to come up with  new accolades - now you've even taken numinous away ~G~ (truly another fantastic write)

Mr. Yeats, shall I send a bucket of water or do you prefer the chemical type of fire-retardant?  Thank you for your kind words...I shall try to continue to aspire, for no growth should ever be bricked...

Sunshine, this poem, like many you write, permits the reader to interpret the piece;
I read this as spiritual and it is most uplifting and beautiful!   Marcy

Marcy, sorry to be so late in replying...yes, everyone should be able to interpret any poem their own way, and I like the way you've looked with your heart into this one...

I interpret it as great poetry!
