She must have been beautiful to do what she did I never knew her, but in dreams, I watched her fall in love with a man six years older then she New York Must have been beautiful in October with Autumn leaves, and orange lights aglow on doorsteps of all I know she stood 5'8 with longer hair, and green eyes, he was taller with blue eyes and darker brown hair By the time he met her he'd been divorced twice, he married again in 1956, he married her Their union was short but together had 6 children 2 girls, and 4 boys She was a music lover full of passion, played the harp, I was told her voice was like the angels when she sang a heavenly host my spine chills to think of such beauty He was the rustic type the outdoor man, who worked on cars, and had a sadness about him that walked his heart She died a young death a disease that plagued her soul, took the very breath of beauty she bestowed I don't recall what happened to him or the 4 of his children, I feel were not as lucky She must have been beautiful for what she did, giving me life through her unselfish act I am Thankful Every Year you are missed |
