As I lay me down to sleep, I reach for soft cloak of your keep... I hug my pillow to my heart, content within illusion, dark... A whispered prayer, to ward nightmare and keep the agonies at bay-- my soul is bare, a hole is there-- I pray I'll sleep through loveless day. |
