~ () Too Short The Wick ~*Marge Tindal*~ l ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What claim to fame burned so brightly for so short a while until life refused to live you any longer ? Melting in puddles of waxed memory flicker 'cross a dim-lit room. Snuffed wick of recall lingering fragrances of your burning still waft to reach my senses of aching with the need of wanting more of you Reaching the crevices of this sister's heart reminding me of your eternal flame that lit my life In loving memory of my sister, Shari Cowart Ricker March 8, 1944 - October 7, 1999 |

strong emotions very well written marge..i'm so sorry for your loss.. i know sometimes it takes a while before the void begins to ease a little--for years i wrote my deceased father a poem on the anniversary of his death...i know the pain doesnt go away..but i hope it becomes a little more bearable for you every day.. prayers for you and your family.. hugs, dg theres no such thing as a failure who keeps trying--coasting to the bottom is the only disgrace. -j popper |
