Wild winds blew over the fields of my life,
Cold, lashing rain has soaked me,
Chilled me to the bone,
Froze my heart within me,
Left me loveless,
A tattered, torn sail,
Left flapping on lifes mast.
The winds eased slowly,
Warm breezes coming to replace them,
Wafting over me,
Restoring me,
Melting the icy ball of my heart,
as you softly sewed the rips in my fabric.

One final squall comes,
Harsh winds,
Heavy hail,
Stinging us,
Wounding us.
Wrapping our coats around us,
Taking turns to shelter each other,
We laugh as the last cloud floats angrily overhead,
Knowing that soon,
we will bathe in golden sunshine.

Darling, if you get this, all I ask of you is that you check your email and give it some thought please. I love you.
Still yours,
Eric.

Eric, I finally get to see you again after almost two years apart. In fact in three weeks time we will be waking up together again. WOW. Also, why didn't I ever know you had posted this again? I needed to see it so much so at that time.
I love you
and I can't wait
