Death of Our Love I want you I love you It's been said to me You have treated me so Differently than others Come to me and I Will show you my love Come fly to me and I will be yours Night and day; Day and night My thought belong to the one Forsaken all others' love My walls quickly tumbled Day one turns into Day 7 Week one is now going on two Where are you; what did I do? Why don't I hear from you? Where's all the love That you promised me Where's the hope of The day we're together Feeling used yet again Giving my heart to another Strung along to believe in love Only to be stripped of it 10 days - no word prompts a call Hello resounds from the other end I didn't recognize your voice My hopes die - turn to despair Love now feels dirty and ugly Used and abused to be a muse Promises of a life together... Were just smoke and mirrors? I am told let go; move on You have so much to offer But now I cling to a hope Of something that has withered So, is it over you and me? Do you wish to be let go? Why don't you talk and Tell me what you want. Email arrives late at night Anticipating a joyful messages I open it my eyes wide in horror Dear _______, It's Over! Beacon of Hope! This was filled with all the pain that lies in the heart of the one that loves...to want it all so much from another that is unwilling or unable to give...your work expressed the emotion acutely...excellent writing~ |
