Though I don't know where you're going
may I join you in the journey
for my armour's rather rusted
and I've been beaten at the tourney
so many times before, I'm so very weary
if we travel on together, it could make it more than cheery.

As we travel on together
may I 'prentice to your charm
for I find my words have lost their zeal
and only bring me harm
and I am so weary, of battling all alone
so while we're journeying together, it could feel like home.

Though we journey the unknown
may I foresee the distance
when my heart has been renewed
and meets with less resistance
and the two are one, a knight and squire
you on a quest and me, learning from your heart's desire.

Now I know the destination
as we go our separate ways
you've been my inspiration
may angels watch you all your days
in the time we've spent together see how much I've grown
so thank you for the respite, I'm ready to go on alone.

gathers the flowers weaves the garland."-

I loved this - Although it could not have been me (   )- I'm still tilting at windmills - besides Dulcinea was not Sancho Panza    furthermore - your poetry stands alone in its own right - and always has (JMHO)

Kethry~
This is a nice piece of work -
Particularly fond of this -

'Now I know the destination
as we go our separate ways

may angels watch you all your days
in the time we've spent together see how much I've grown
so thank you for the respite, I'm ready to go on alone.'

How nice to know that we can move forward on our own ...
when we've the strength we've gleaned from others.

Wil, it could not be, buffoon before a knight
to me you will always be a hero with armour bright
and me no Dulcinea, just a wench with longing song
wanting to go with you and learning all along.
Wil let's travel on together, until we separate
I'll be your little songbird, you'll be Wilfred the Great.

Marge,Thank you for leaving your gleanings for me to gather.

Kethry, you can come with me
You'd be the perfect squire.
I will gather firewood and then
You can light my fire!

Together we will travel on
To fight for truth and right.
Then as we lay exhausted
I'll give you a wondrous knight!

what windmill? I didn't see any windmill!!!!

Excellent Kethry. . .

The Quest is always better shared. . . with someone to share the lesson. . .

You can be my squire anytime. . .

Balladeer, what a wondrous knight thou art
to stoop to cause a maid to blush and then to still her heart
and if the fire between us two shouldst burn, enflame desire
Then fain I go with thee alway, the wondrous knight and squire.

Sir Sven you do me honor, that I your eye shouldst catch
but I am unworthy, for you I durst not match
you have the flame of passion that warms my frozen skin
but your eyes beguile me, I dare not look lest I fall in.

Tis a wonderous quest in the (k)night indeed.
WONDERFUL PENNING in every measure of the word.  Loved this one and probably...no no...definitely my favorite of yours.  To the library with this one.

viraynes,
thanks for liking it.

Mark,

you my knight, shining so bright
show honour through and through
your courteous words and kindly thoughts
reveal a heart steadfast and true
should you need company, as challenges you meet
I would not be your partner, but accolyte at your feet.

Kethry, you are all girl,
At least a lady in waiting.
If you choose to see the world,
I'll not be hesitating
To email you a one way fare
That will bring you over here.

I've wanted to have equal time,
For the lady to wait for me.
A lady in waiting suits me fine,
Tapping her foot expectantly.
So come on over and sit a spell,
Your anxious waiting suits me well.

As for your poem - very intriguing, Kethry.  I like it.  Except the part where you could have worked in some kitty kicking and you refrained.  I think you need to work on that part a little more - lol

This is a beautiful poem; and I really loved the ending; you've journeyed, you've learned, you're ready to go on alone!!!

Inspiring work, as always!!!
