Our lives don't always take the turns that we would like them to.
At times it seems our hopes and dreams aren't destined to come true.
My current road is rocky and the present isn't great for me..
All I can do is smile at you and pray that you will wait for me.

Those temporary obligations I cannot dismiss
Stand in the way and cause delay of sharing happiness.
There are so many things right now that just won't correlate for me
And it's so sad, with all we've had, to think you might not wait for me.

Life is good with knuckleballs and throws a wicked curve.
I'm at the plate but can't give you the home run you deserve.
How sad that I have finally found the one and only mate for me
Yet here I stand with hat in hand just hoping that you'll wait for me.

You have your life - I know you do..It's knocking at your door.
Adventure waits outside your gates and beckons to explore.
Perhaps you'll find someone who's kind and it will be too late for me..
That is the chance I have to take by asking you to wait for me.....

( just a poetic endeavor, friends   )

I will wait till the moon turns blue
till the stars fall from the sky ... this I'll do

till the sun fades into the night so long
till the swan sings her final song

of course I would wait for you sweet man
and when you finally arrive ...

Balladeer~

I'll wait for you
'til the cows come home -
Then nevermore will I again roam.

For then I know
I'll have a place
on the milking stool
with a smile on my face !

When the cows come home
from the meadow far -
I'll wait for you
no matter how late you are.

Just moooooooove it quick
don't be a * yep  * ...
and you can forget
that old hat trick !

*Loving your poeticism
and everything else about you !

Are you sure it's not life imitating art...or the other way around? I think this is the first disclaimer [outside of jousting with LJA and Toe] that I've seen you do...hummm?

either way, can I wait too?

Balladeer if I didn't know any better (and I don't) I'd say this is too true to life.

Excellent writing here if you can make it that real!

And MARK, I didn't buy it, but don't get rid of that SPAM ok?    hehehe

'Tis through your poems, softly speaking, how I can relate to you,
And for another verse I dream, while lying here in wait for you.

I loved the style you used here Balladeer, positively wonderful! What a beautiful flow!

Best wishes,
/Kit

LOL at Mark

now there is quite the sensible thing to do.
I'll wait with you, if there's room for two,
for the girls balladeer does not choose.
Balladeer, your verse is great!
So i wish you luck while you wait,
but i can't procrastinate a date
for a shot at monogomy, 'cause it's not for me.
why wait for a table for two,
when you can have a room for three?

seriously, i'm sure the "penelope virtue" is still appreciated today. just not in any of the gals i know
good writing, good luck, and good night!< !signature-->

Balladeer I'd wait for you
at the table or at the zoo
Balladeer my love is true
I'll wait until my nose turns blue
I'd wait for you if I were a star,
I'd wait for you to drive my car
I'd wait for you to inspire my muse
I'd wait for you for daily use.
I'd wait for you but if I must
accept from others, consolation of lust
I'd wait for you through time and tide
I'll wait, I'll wait though it sears my pride

Why do I suddenly feel like Dr Seuss?

Lovely poem.
Be well

Balladeer
Your poetic endeavor is poetically perfect.
And you don't have to wait for me.
I'll just wait for you
Or vise versa, now you've got me all confused
I'll wait, I'll wait!
Love ya
Liz

I hope that it’s not too late for you
You know, sir, I will wait for you
When poetic hell freezes fast
I will be here, at the last
Tender heart, sweet Balladeer
I’ll wait for you, again this year
Take your time, clean off your plate
Good things come to those who wait

Sir Balladeer I have to admit that I am not going to be waiting for you. My true love says he is not into sharing. If he ever runs away, I'd like to add my name to the waiting list.
