If If one day my love leaves me all alone If I can't hear your voice on my hearts' phone If my eyes are full of tears and I start to cry If I can't find my way back no matter how I try I'll remember that once I had a love so true I'll recall that you loved me as I love you If my heart calls out in the blackness of night If I seek for you and just can't find your light If the sun should leave a gapping hole in my sky If I've lost my souls wings and now can't fly I'll remember that once you held me near your heart I'll recall that you said we'd never ever part If the wind calls my name as she moves the tree If the rain in my heart threatens I'll never be free If my eyes seek your form wherever I look If I feel as if my heart were on a meat hook I'll remember the warnings telling me the price I'll recall that I agreed to play with your dice If my heart grows weary from days of sorrow If I can't look forward to the thought of tomorrow If the days look ever dark and full of tears If the lonely days seem to stretch for years I'll remember that I burned for your touch I'll recall that I loved you far too much Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

What SEA said...then triple it...'cept for the e-mail part....< !signature--> Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 11-16-2000).] |

Beautifully woven. You led up to your final line quite finely! I wrote a poem with this title, I think it was last year. It is completely different, if memory serves. I'll have to look for it in my cyberfiles. ;o} V. |

"If"....the biggest word in the English language in terms of all it means.... Loving is always a gamble; but win or lose, worth the risk.... loved the read Pepper "A poem is the very image of life expressed in its eternal truth." Percy Bysshe Shelley |

Circe, I'm sorry I made your eyes misty, mine are too, because well you know why, never mind, he'll be back, I hope. Thank you my sweet friend, you are always generous in your praise, and I really don't deserve it. And if Mohamad can't get to the mountain, I'll try to get to you. Take care Mushy Kari, Oh kid you have no idea what praise from you means, I thank you, truly I do. Take care Majestic VAS please post it I'd really like to see it, truly. Thank you I really do apreciate you stopping off to read this one of mine. Pepper, you are so right, love is worth any risk, and any price, but it's also good to know when the relationship isn't going anywhere. I think I'm just having a down in the dumps day. Thank you Take care Mushy Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Ethome, thank you again, I hope that I've answered the questions tenderly, it's not what has happened yet, but no one ever knows the future do they. I'm having a blue week I think, which is why I love it here at Passions my soul and my heart need to be revitalised. And your poems certainly give me some of what I need. So thank you muchly. Marsha, A beautifully written poem. If, we could turn many things around I am sure we would run out of time. Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love (Daniel J D) |
