I'm Really Missing You

My empty lonely arms are lost, really missing you
So lonely and sad, they wish so to hold on to you
I want to go back to sleep, to dream my life away
For only in my dreams I can hear you softly say
That your love for me is, and will be ever strong
It will last forever, and ever no matter how long

                 *    *    *

My lips are missing the gentle pressure of yours
They want to kiss yours on those distant shores
I've lost my weeping soul she's gone so far away
I need to lie beside you to take this pain away
Your touch is the medicine I so desperately crave
To heal my spirit, in your hearts love I must bathe

                *     *    *

My eyes are full of tears, and my soul is so blue
I must see you soon before another day is through
My eyes see no love in any other shape or form
And my spirit feels wretched, like she's been torn
It's only you that makes my days fill with light
Only you I want in the dark of the starry night

               *      *    *

My ears feel empty of your tender loving speech
For when you speak it's my spirit that you reach
I need to stroll beside you along that sunlit bay
The touch of your smile is my sunshine this day
This world seems to me a lonely and cold place
And only you can put a smile back onto my face

Marsha~

By far the loveliest of your heart songs.
Oh, what an afternoon delight ...
this is just such a pretty piece of writing.

You've reached in and touched a soft spot ...
it's very becoming.

Kari, thank you love, much appreciated. I could do with a touch of sunshine, it wouldn't make me miss him less. Still things always seem better when the sunshines.
So thanks for sending me so warm thoughts.

James, yes that's the feeling, as if you're missing something vital. And in a way I am. Glad you like this one.

Marge, thank you most kindly. It is a very soft spot, it's like a hole, a gap. And the missing piece is my man. I'm pleased you like this one, Marge I really am.
Take care

So sad when you have to miss the one you love...but
I've heard tell that abscence makes the heart grow
fonder...and there is always the reunion to look
forward to! Here's hoping that your hubby is home
soon!!

It's amazing how even an hour, let alone a day, seems like a lifetime when missing a piece of your soul.....

You wrote it so well; it carried me away

Circe, thank you love, but actually I thought that this failed to convey how much I miss my man. I always think I could do better if I tried harder you know. It's because I don't actually get the time to sit down and write them out, I'm always just grabbing some time from something else. I'm glad you like it, truly I am.
Oh and did you get it last night, the OSCAR's have already been pestering me, hope you like it. I wouldn't trust them to send it because lord only knows what those apes would have done.
Take care

BDC thank you, the reunion is something I'm looking forward too, very much. But it's not with my ex, now that wouldn't be a pleasant experience. I'm normally a gentle soul, and I do believe that the best way to part is as friends, but in his case I can make an exception. He tried to cut me off from joy and life, and then he tried to stop me reading and writing poetry, I don't think I can forgive him for that. To try to take beauty from my life and replace it with nothingness, is a crime of the heart.

Pepper too true girl, and time seems to misbehave, speeds up when you're with them, stops or rewinds when they're not. Ahh how I wish it were the other way round.
Glad you like this one take care

Kethry, thank you, and I intend to make it as memorable as possible. I'm pleased you like this one.
Take care
