In the Spirit

-I-
Moon light filters through the thick canopy of trees
Evergreen and Spruce, lifting their boughs and aromas
To the gentle breeze of Autumn.
In the slivers of silver light dance the shadows of spirits
Dancing, dancing, moving in rhythm to the Earth, to the night
Their bodies swaying, glowing, being.

Voice sails upon the serenity, singing peace and laughter
Joyous vibrance of living chanted upon the purple nimbus
Exploiting every avenue of existence.
Dreamscape drifts slowly, lazily, freely against mortality
Sensing, seeing, knowing the grandeur of substance
Nothing can escape the magick.

-II-
Naked bodies entwine upon the grass, the Goddess’ handwoven carpet
As the King of Love watches his children search and taste and explore
Another being watches from a farther distance, chained by insane reason
To destroy.
Elsewhere, the dunes of the desert greet the first rays of a red sun
Blistering heat pounding the dry, crack earth while within its shadows
Praise can be heard raising up to the crimson sky
Singing.
As bodies melt into phantom mist, swirling out of restraint
Freedom pulses in the first rays of light upon the homestead
Where no age can identify.

-III-
Emerald mirror, ornamented by crystaline pools of sea
Mountains soar beyond the heavens holding mystery
Land spreads its fever to every corner, infecting Man.
Bounty harvested by the hand of Women: wife sister mother daughter
Cherished by the mouth of babes that will one day come
To see the beauty of its history.

Dpoe! My Friend!  Welcome to Passions...I've sure you'll enjoy your stay.

Wonderful to see you here.  I've missed your work, and this is truly beautiful. Loved It!  Look forward to much from you.

Panne sent me a couple email I'll send you...you're much better versed in what she does (all that technical stuff!) than I, and if you feel like yakking at her...drop a comment or two, she'd love it.

I love the imagery in this poem.  Beautifully written.

"...no single sound too rude
Upon thy slumber shall intrude,
Our thoughts, our souls- O God above!
In every deed shall mingle, love."

Absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look within the heart of a poet, and you will see a reflection of their soul.
