( A small collaberation by Balladeer and Doreen Peri. Larger ones to follow   )

there's sometimes a probably
and sometimes a never
sometimes a halfway toward
the edge of forever

there are probablys and nevers
So we just have to cope
with what our feelings tell us
and how much we can hope

sometimes there's hope
sometimes there's not
sometimes there's cold
sometimes there's hot
sometimes there's people
lost inside
a world so small
yet way too wide

people lost? Of course there are. It happens every day
Columbus found America exactly in that way.
He simply set a course by Jupiter or some other star
and kept on going straight ahead and - Bingo! - here we are!

I was expecting to feel sad after I read this but I didn't. Somehow it made me feel like there is hope for all of us. I think the collaberation is good for the both of you.

I took a shot in the dark
and I found myself holding
the very hands of timelessness
sub-space, supernatural...
...
Doreen and Sir Balladeer, what a delightful combination...

may many many more follow...

sudhir

This was my favorite verse. Really makes
one ponder. Thanks!

hey, you guys! thanks for reading this wee bit of spontanaeous verse.... we really enjoyed it  ... and i'm glad y'all got something out of it, too (that's Virginia tawk!)

hey, JM... what's with the "queen" thingy, anyway? queen of WHAT? the roller derby? nah... that can't be it... i don't even have any in-line skates...'course there seems to be a lot of standing in-line around here! er, or is that sitting online or... umm.. something er other... but i prefer figure skating... and am i usually too wordy??? MOI??? awwww come on, now... haven't you ever heard of the Iliad? there are such things as epics, y'know!!

oh, and thanks very much for the collaberation, Michael... it was quite enjoyable... we'll have to do it again sometime, maybe, y'think?   *wink*

- all you can ever really ask out of life is a sincere apology and some decent poetry -
