A Sip From The Grail

A sun shines beacon....O'er the coals of admire
Burning a fire....On the shoals of desire.
Fanning a flame....O'er the dim of a door
Scorching loves tinder.... To light it once more.

And shadows grope....In the simmer of cope
Searching rapport....In the glimmer of hope.
Trampling the grapes....Into forms of escape
Invisible dawns....By the shroud of loves drape.

Bating fevered chime....In the weave of her time
Writing naive line....Into verse chord and rhyme
While tending safe harbor....For ultimates goal
A bed of forever....and the key to her soul.

And tears turn to brine....And fears to confine
And the wail sends a wind....and the wind sends repine
She's willing to pass....through the eye of the needle
Face the dragon of ID....and the demons of evil.

But I'd have her drink....from the cup of the grail
A drop of the truth....In the wine of prevail.

A very wise poet once told me that the most
beautiful gift is the inspiration of poetry
by reading from another...This is so
beautiful Sy...your work shines as does the
heart of the poet that writes it~

Although you may only be speaking to one, you certainly have touched the soul of another...

enjoyed every word, every line, every nuance...

a favored one for the library, 'tis sure...

Sy..I have sat here for over 10 mins reading this and trying to respond.
Once again I say the words thank you and once again they seem too little of words
to do this you , this poem, or this heartfelt gesture justice.
The poem, regardles of whom its intended is
so amazing,
your inner rhymes and unmatched use of poetic phrases and unique verbiage ..
always amazes, enchants, and awes, us all..
me at the top of the list...
your gift of rhyme and cadence is God given bliss.
When you wrote *winkiewinkie* ...I was so complimented and touched...
this poem and the reasons for it ..
and its meaning ... leave me humbled and honored.
If anyone a year ago would have told me that I would inspire a word in any one...
well, you know...
that my poetry of DeVante' evokes this kind of poetry is the sweetest gift of all.
It allows me to keep my promise to him..
to keep sharing the lessons learned and
keep his light burning...
thank you so very very much Sy-gator...
your light shine with its own grace as well.
so touched by this ... am I
love and winkies to ya sweet poet
