A little douse
Of surreality
As I look up
The midnight sky

The starry heavens
Are the poets’ wish
Coming ever true
I realize
To touch the hearts
Of so many lives
The stars a gift
To be their eyes

How can I see
The distant shores
If I’ve never seen the sea
You are there
Above the beach
I can hear your poetry

The net that’s cast
By God Himself
Are heaven’s stars
Up in the sky
And each poet knows
That for one to shine
We shall never die

There’s no
Goodnight
For the poet’s light
Shines even
At its rest
And to share with you
My dreams come true
Is when I'm at my best

I’ll listen as
You reflect
Your soul
To the world
Of who you are
So the others and I
Can help you light
Your wishful
Morning Star

Congratulations!  How I loved these verses, the entire piece, but these verse spoke personally to me as well. Keep up the writing.
