If it seems like she's acting the part remember, she's run the years on a treadmill of fate. Oh, she's always known that she could do better but it's the same old action and everyone takes. Oh she'd be afaid if she did'nt remember when she was'nt so sure surfing night waves. Now her chest fills up with the songs of a summoner singing sweet notes to the hearts she can sway. In a lounge for the lonely she makes her escape singing old blue-ribbon anthems of grace, she calls lost lovers from graveyards of shame and cleanses their soul with borrowed refrains. She wears black leather boots with shiny brass buckles with flashing green emeralds over denim and pearls, with her long golden hair tossed and tussled shining in lights of the nightlife world. Take out the old shotglass let the memories begin there'll be sippin and smokin to the Lord's missing wrath but when the show opens all the scuttlebutt friends will drown in the river of blues she brings back. Now the crowd is seasoned with da capo survival downing their liquor in candlelight shadows so she gives them a chaser with a perfect revival of oldies and goldies from the musical bible. Oh she smiles at the invites the late night repasts with her guests all braying their nightcap laugh. but she'll turn them down like a bad broadcast if their tune's not the same kind of blue she can match. In a lounge for the lonely she makes her escape singing her blue-ribbon anthems of grace. Alone in her silence there's a love she once named but he's lost in the memories of borrowed refrains. |

ethome, can I tell you how smooth this is, probably not because there are no words to describe the more than satin quality of this write. However I can tell you I love this especially "In a lounge for the lonely she makes her escape" Shades of Blue Hotel. Be well Kethry Why do yesterdays remain and todays pass by ...unnoticed? Rex E.
