Dusk falls upon the land A time of peace is close at hand The kingdom is calm tonight Soldiers sleep weary from the fight Their horses graze in the field Darkness serves as their shield ~~ The castle stands strong and tall Not one brick took a fall Their prince closes his eyes In his dream he hears a cry It is from the fallen ones Who gave their lives for their sons ~~ So they will have a future here With no need to harbor fear Living a life filled with harmony By the calm waters of the sea They will prosper in due time Enjoying the years of their prime ---------------------------------------------------- Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats [This message has been edited by Lone Wolf (edited 11-09-2000).] |

Makes you kind of wonder if Clinton ever hears cries in his sleep. Oh, sorry...I shouldn't be talking politics in here. *Grins* |

A high compliment coming for one who knows. Thanks. Sudhir . . . Glad you enjoyed. PLY . . . You are welcome. And you should be very proud my friend. Denise . . . We sure do, which is why we should be thankful and remember them. It is the least we can do. They died an honorable death for us all. Thanks.
