Reasons Why

Lest it be said
in playful jest
that tis true
openly they
shall test

As one will
say nay
and the other
will say not
as they play

With tunes gold
in windows shut
blaring silence
fills the room
out of todays rut

Tempt not song
nor sun in sky
shall it be said
for all one's
true reasons why

Methinks
sometimes
the sun
just shines
and never
stops to think
of why,
methinks
that we
should do
the same
and play,
like drops
of sun-kisssed rain...
and if methinks
too much
'tis true...
I'll stay inside.
Remembering you.

(now everybody, go pick apples...)

Hey Mark--I like the way you did this...very interesting...and I say...open the window...let in the sound, even if it is the sound is silence.

Drawn out from the silence,
a thousand words said,
door locked tight,
upon my bed,
I hear it..
and understand.

  I do like it.

there are oft reasons why we need the silence that surrounds us, a time for joy and peace to inspire us, a time for sunlight and stars to delight us, a time for happiness and a smile to come our way, SO here's a hug back to you for all the times you've made that smile come to my face.
I loved this poem it really has a little of us all in it.

JM-Rejoice in the sunshine from pulled back drapes and know that it is all good in the light of living.  Thank you so much my endearing friend.  Now where the heck is your damn pass?

serenity-

Me thinks
you think
that play
is shine
and therefore
warmth in the
sun shall
rest upon the
dew of each
morn in
temptuous song
rejoicing in
the growth of
mutual friends
basking upon tans
of tomorrows
promises.

Thank you my "OFFICIAL" friend. I knew you would see the apples needing to picked.

Karilea-Life in itself is fun as long as there are stars to be kissed in tomorrows
noon.  Thank you so much for understanding this one.

Martie-The window is open.  Didn't you feel the breeze come in? hugs my friend

seraphin-Out of the bed
and into the sun with you.
There are apples to be
picked.  Now go on get
with it.

Thank you and maybe you do.

reject-nothing rejected here and you will if you don't yet.  Thanks so much

Rosebud1229-As long as your silence is NEVER quiet then you know you are still breathing.   Thank you my friend.

Mark, now how did I miss this gem, it's going to work, now why does it have to interfere with what I really would prefer to do. This is a true beauty, it's those sunbeams that do it everytime, they give such a golden glow. Actually they just make your poems shine extra brightly, so instead of just shining they now eclipse. Beauty in poetic form, I love this!
         Take care

I see two people just going through the motions, because they've been together for so long, all familiarities(spelled right?) known, on each others nerve, because like it or not, they only have each other. I think I said a mouthful. ok shut the window, I'll be quiet.

"Life in itself is fun as long as there are stars to be kissed in tomorrows
noon." and I am going to borrow that idea  inspired by you Mark it is just wonderful!!
