 The light once held so precious Was blown out in the wind of Shame The storm rolled into heart and soul Ignited the fiery glow of Blame Hope lost leaving open wounds voices, smells....touch of haunting Seeping into every wound of old Call, scream... filled soul of taunting Fingers strapped with razor touch Rake skin so close to bone Erase the scars of healing Leaving nothing but Alone Pushed away in hope to forget Send prayer of forgiveness and love Release the power...hold the light Tears rain down...thunder rolls above Broken dove spilling from heaven Grip of ice and fear consume Stepping backwards through jagged glass Balance broken...tumbled emotion resume |

oh baby.. this poem rakes me to the bone.. I would give my muse to be able to take this pain from you or anyone who lives with it you KNOW how I feel about having to carry someone elses shame around... but I also know how damn strong you are and how you want to fly free of this and I KNOW you will cause I know your heart and I know your spirit and they will--in time heal those dove and butterfly wings ... and you will rise above and soar .. and ya know how I know.... yeah... you know... wanna say it with me.... ~BUTTERFLIES ARE MEANT TO BE FREE~ love you my sweet SS ... me There are places inside our souls - that have never been touched. JM* My sweet SS...I'm learning...it's in here and I've touched on it a few times...Feeling better everyday..sometimes the emotion just needs to be let out to let it go!! Holly-- this piece was so painfully written, but that is not a bad thing. i am glad through your poetry you are able to express...sometimes we just gotta "let it all go." your writing always amazes me and touches the core within. i truly think that one day you will be free of all this pain and as janet so beautifully said "butterflies are meant to be free" one day your broken wings will mend and you will fly and soar, and shine. you already make all of us so proud here...and i just wanted you to know you make my life a brighter place. love ya much. ~amy~ |

Oh my friend, you know this one gets to me. I am sorry it took so long to reply but with the upcoming move and all. I know that pain you are going through is just that and as you told me, "it is the first step" and I know that you will make shining like a thousand stars in the night. You are being heard now and that is exactly what the world needed to do so take advantage baby, use it to heal yourself. Beautifully penned btw. Yes, it is sad and it says "OWIEEEE" big time but you put it to the blue pages in a grace as only you could. Take care of you my sweet friend, or I will send a pack of "cowboy pick me ups" your way and trust me, you don't that. LOL. Hugs my friend. |
