Living here in separation
keeps our hearts on tainted sleeves
a critical visible situation
oh who is this talking to me.

Well the years are quickly burning
and our love has willed to die
and the heartaches that we're earning
will take the future from our eyes.

So let's fall in love again,
let's fall in love like we did back when,
let's find the same love that made us friends.

Well there's grey in your auburn hair
and the crow's feet crowd your eyes
but the beauty there that we shared
is in the feelings we're trying to hide.

let's fall in love from beginning to end
let's make the same love that made us friends.

There's everything we need to know
about how to make old new love grow,
where we kept our hopes and blessings
so we know there'll be no guessing.
Something there must have been right
back where we found true delight.

I like the lines "in separation keeps our hearts on tainted sleeves a critical visible situation" this is good. Keep it going and don't get down my friend.

Ethome* This is sensational...I think most
couples that have grown apart and lost the
friendship that started them would love to
be able to recapture that feeling. Beautiful

something about this hit me softly

Butterflies it really is true that people grow apart but I think they become very complacent with each other and that takes the spirit out of the relationship....thanks for your kind words.....ethome

ethome, you know I had these same feelings and tried as I might, it takes two to do this
